As the days go by, it seems that more and more Rift fansites are popping up all over the place. Likewise, articles on Rift are becoming more abundant. The question on everyone's mind, is: How does Rift compare to other MMO's? In response to this, I wrote an article on Rift vs. WoW, but I was not the only one! I know, I know. No one likes a troll that compares every shiny new toy to the biggest juggernaut on the playground. But let's be real for a second. There is a reason this game has gained such popularity, though I doubt this is news to you, as most of your friends probably play this game. In fact, you probably play this game... or at least did at one point. If so, I'm sure the comparison has at least occurred to you. Don't be ashamed, you're not the only one. Many of you WoW haters have been secretly craving that WoW experience, but without having to give up your pride and degrade yourself in the world of Azeroth (don't lie, you know who you are). Hey, I don't blame you. Azeroth was once a busy and active world, full of older, more (dare I say, mature) enthusiastic players. It's safe to say, however, that things have, well... changed.

Did you prefer Vanilla WoW over Modern WoW? Once again, you are not alone, and most of you seem to be gathering among Rift. Drop in the forums and see for yourself. There are pages among pages among pages in WoW conversion threads and testimonials. Why are WoW veterans beginning to make the switch to Rift? Is Rift the true next generation in MMO gaming? It's February 4th, which as we all know, means the Rift beta is once again upon us! The weekend could not have come any sooner, as my experiences with Beta 5 left me drooling for more during the following week. Let it be known: I will proudly devote my weekend to taking full advantage of the testing time granted to us!
